Muzium Sultan Abu Bakar Pekan

Pekan, sebuah bandar tua yang mempunyai banyak kesan sejarahnya. Bandar ini juga dikenali sebagai Bandar Diraja pernah menjadi ibu negeri dan pusat pentadbiran negeri Pahang Darul Makmur.

Muzium Sultan Abu Bakar, merupakan sebuah bangunan lama yang mempunyai sejarahnya yang tersendiri. Bangunan muzium ini pada asalnya merupakan bangunan kayu dua tingkat yang dibina oleh Inggeris pada tahun 1888, sebagai tempat kediaman Residen British Pertama di Pahang, J.P. Rodger. Pada tahun 1898, ibu negeri Pahang dipindahkan dari Pekan ke Kuala Lipis dan bangunan ini dijadikan tempat penginapan Residen-residen Inggeris yang datang menjalankan tugas-tugas rasminya di bandar Pekan. Pada tahun 1929, bangunan kayu ini digantikan dengan bangunan batu dua tingkat iaitu seperti yang terdapat sekarang ini. Ketika pendudukan Jepun di Tanah Melayu bangunan ini digunakan sebagai markas pegawai-pegawai tentera Jepun.

Dalam tahun 1948, bangunan ini telah diduduki oleh DYMM Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar sebagai menggantikan Istana Sri Terentang. Bangunan ini kemudiannya dikenali sebagai Istana Kota Beram yang menjadi tempat persemayaman baginda dan menjalankan upacara-upacara yang lain. Pada tahun 1954, lantaran kedudukan ruang-ruang di dalam istana yang agak terhad, kerajaan negeri telah membina bangunan tambahan untuk dijadikan balai yang dikenali dengan Balairung Seri.

Pada tahun 1970, YAB Perdana Menteri Tun Haji Abdul Razak dalam pertemuannya ketika itu dengan penduduk Pekan telah mengusulkan agar diwujudkan sebuah Muzium Pahang, bertujuan untuk mengumpul dan mempamerkan sejarah dan kebudayaan negeri Pahang. Lanjutan daripada itu pada tahun 1974, kerajaan negeri Pahang, telah mengkaji keperluan menubuhkan Muzium ini, satu Jawatankuasa Kerja telah dibentuk bagi mengubahsuai Istana Kota Beram kepada Muzium Negeri. Muzium ini kemudiaanya dinamakan sebagai Muzium Sultan Abu Bakar bersempena Istana yang pernah menjadi tempat persemayaman baginda.

Pada tahun 1975, satu Enakmen telah diluluskan oleh Majlis Perundangan Negeri Pahang dan diwartakan oleh Kerajaan pada 14 Ogos 1975. Melalui enakmen ini Kerajaan negeri Pahang telah menubuhkan satu badan pentadbiran muzium yang dikenali sebagai Lembaga Muzium Negeri Pahang yang bertanggungjawab terhadap pengurusan Muzium ini. Pada 21 Oktober 1976, DYMM Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, Sultan Pahang telah berkenan menyempurnakan pembukaan rasmi Muzium Sultan Abu Bakar. Semenjak daripada itu Muzium ini terus giat mengumpul dan mempamerkan kesan dan tinggalan sejarah serta kebudayaan tradisional negeri Pahang.

The Pahang Sungai Lembing Museum was set up to remember the glory days of Sungai Lembing town as the richest producer of tin when the country, Malaysia, was the largest producer in the world.
However, tin is no more an important ore in the world, having been replaced by plastics, alluminium and other cheaper synthetic resources for what were previously its end products, like tins and containers for foods and drinks.


With the decline in tin production, Sungai Lembing town itself has slowly dwindled in size and importance, but the memories of its heydays are still vivid in the minds of its old residents.
With the establishment of the Museum, it is hoped that the present and future generations can comprehend and see the importance it had played in the economic and social development of Pahang state as well as the country.

KUANTAN TOWN

Kuantan, the capital city and main administrative center of the state of Pahang Darul Makmur, lies on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, about 170 miles east of Kuala Lumpur - the capital city of Malaysia - and 215 miles north of Singapore. Teluk Chempedak

Teluk Chempedak Situated just 6km from Kuantan and about 23.7 km (30Minutes) from Mahkota Aman Homestay.  Teluk Chempedak is an enclosed bay with a nice stretch of beach. Popular with the locals, activities include swimming, surfing and jet skiing can be done here. Explore the nearby jungle for Malaysia's flora and fauna, with a few different species of plant life, insects, small animals and monkeys inhabiting the small area. Watch out for the unruly monkeys

Sungai pandan Waterfall

Sungai Pandan Recreational Forest is located in the Forest picnic, about 7km from Mahkota Aman Homestay and 25 km from the center of the town of Kuantan. Travelling from the city center takes about half an hour, either by taking their own vehicles, or public transport such as buses (Bus Co Bukit Kuantan), taxi etc.
It was founded in the early 1980 by the District Forest Office oversight of the Kuantan and Pahang State Forestry Department. Today, it has became one of the tourist sights and a must visit waterfall in Malaysia.
The waterfall is about 50 acres with a height of 75.8 meters above sea level is the catchment forests of the lowland dipterocarp type. This recreational forest is rich and lush with many species of flora including timber trees, fern plants, fungi, mushrooms, bamboo, rattan and herbs. While the fauna of various species of insects, birds, monkeys, apes, monkeys, tapirs, porcupines, deer, mouse, bear, and more. Here there are endemic species of timber trees from the roof of Meranti, Keruing Chogan, resin, oil and Balau Red Sea that was decades old.
This recreational forest is a privilege of water known as the waterfall, Sungai Pandan Waterfalls. A while ago it was also known as Waterfall Panching, known not only for locals but also foreign visitors who prefer to spend a weekend here. This waterfall is also regularly receive visits of foreign tourists visit it every day, especially from March to September. This recreational forest has also been equipped with various facilities including, car parking, food stalls, toilets, mosque, family field day, camping sites, rest huts, a swimming-pool bath and a suspension bridge for visitors to feel and see the beautiful rolling facing the waterfall. Here, visitors come not only for bathing Manda, picnic and play, but can also do exercise activities such as jungle trekking, camping, and family day. This recreational forest is rich with various species of wild birds, including resident and the type of migration. It is suitable for the activities’ Watching Birds. An area of natural vegetation ‘pitcher’ which is about about one hectare with a variety of species that have been identified including, Nepenthes Reflesiana (lower & upper Pitcher Pitcher), and Nepenthes Nepenthes Ampullaria Grassilis. It consists of a variety of colors, sizes and shapes that look a little different in this area grow. A number of conservation fee also applies to all visitors who want to go visit here, and the plant is described by the guide. This payment is intended to cover all costs of management, maintenance and monitoring of the area. It also is part of efforts to conserve and protect this plant from extinction due to the greed of irresponsible.
District Forest Office has also developed an area of eight acres Rattan Arboretum which contains about 12 species of rattan, which is of type MANAU Rattan Calamus Manan), Rattan Bachap (Daemonorops Leptopus), Rattan Rings (Daemonorops Geniculatus), Dok Rattan (Calamus Ornatus) , Rattan Shrimp (Daemonorps Didymophyllus), Rattan Sabong (Vertiallaris), Rattan Jernang (Daemonorps Didymophylla), Rattan Sega (Colamus Carsius), Rattan Elephant (Plectocomiopsis scortechinii), Rattan Mostly (Calanus Scabridulus), Rattan Jahra (Daemonorops) and Rattan Mantang (Plectocomia Griffithii).
